Election 2021 Desk: Yonkers City Council: 2nd District: Yonkers Insider Piece: Elections 2021.

Yonkers City Council Majority Leader and Representative of the 2nd District, Corazon Pineda Issac is seeking a 3rd Term in the Office of Yonkers City Council in the 2nd District. She has been elected Twice, both times She defeated Former Yonkers City Councilman of the 2nd District, Wilson Terrero. 

She has been Majority Leader of the Yonkers City Council, since January 2020. She recently got nominated by the Yonkers Democratic City Committee at their Nominating Convention in her bid to run for a 3rd Term. Corazon voted against the Terms Limits Extension passed by the Yonkers City Council. 

We look forward to covering her in this campaign in her bid for a 3rd Term.  

There is speculation out there that Council President Khader and his associates would be happy if Corazon doesn't get Reelected to this seat. We hope to cover that aspect of that rumor in future Pieces on Yonkers Politics, because there is interesting stuff going on in the 2021 Election Cycle in our View.

3 Candidates all Women have entered this race to contest Majority Leader Pineda Issac for this seat in District 2: They are: Community Activst Zafiro Acevedo, Community Activist Annette Yarber and Yonkers Resident Cristil Suazo. 

We look forward to learning about these 3 Candidates as this 2021 Election Cycle moves on. First Day to Collect Signatures for Petitions is on March 2nd. 

We couldn't find a picture of Cristil Suazo for this story, we hope to be able to interview her and the other 2 Women running against Corazon in the future too and also do a spotlight on her as well as the other 2 Women running against Corazon as well.
