Today is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day all across our nation, and I am truly grateful to celebrate this day in honor of his recent birthday, legacy, accomplishments and impact. Dr. King was one of the most influential Civil Rights Movement leader who took on the responsibility of actively protesting the racial injustices and discrimination that people of color faced in the United States. Today, we understand that Dr. King's influence and efforts continue to live on in in our hearts and minds and through the actions of others. We continue to look to his work, wisdom and words as we champion and strive for racial justice and equality. He helped create a foundation upon which we must all build, until we have achieved true equality for everyone, on all levels. Thank you Dr. King for the progress that you have helped achieve and for all that you have done; your impact is truly undeniable and your memory and legacy lives on forever.
