Yonkers City Council President Mike Khader to seek 2nd Term for Yonkers City Council President. Newcomer Lakisha Collins-Bellamy, A Lawyer and a Lifelong Democrat is seeking the Democrat Nomination for Yonkers City Council President, She will challenge Council President Khader in a Democratic Party Primary. Yonkers Democrats meet on a Virtual Convention to Nominate their 2021 Slate of Candidates on Wednesday. Lakisha is a Lawyer at Collins LLC, with a focus on Family Law and Real Estate. She also is a Board of Trustee on the Yonkers Board of Education and is Legal Counsel at the Municipal Housing Authority of Yonkers (MHACY) and Member of Yonkers Police Reform Committee as well. Council President Khader currently has his own Law firm called Khader Law. It will be interesting to see if Yonkers Republicans will run someone for Yonkers City Council President.
