Happy Hanukkah! It feels great to be right in the middle of the holiday season, and I hope you are all doing well.
First, let us begin with the weekly COVID-19 updates. Unfortunately, the amount of COVID cases in Yonkers have continued to rise, growing over 5% in just this week alone. Please, everyone needs to adhere by the NYS COVID Guidelines to flatten the curve and protect each other.
Unfortunately, three Yonkers businesses were stripped of their NYS liquor licenses because of their failure to comply with COVID-19 restrictions and regulations. All three of these businesses are located on South Broadway. I urge fellow business owners to continue to comply with the regulations put in place. I would hate to see more business be shut down or lose important licenses. Small businesses are struggling enough through this pandemic.
As usual, I have provided a breakdown of the active COVID cases in Yonkers this week both by raw numbers and by percentage change.
