campaign update Former Yonkers Councilmembers weigh in on Yonkers City Court race urge voters to Re-Elect Judge Daly For close to fifty years, Yonkers City Court judges who have served with distinction for their full term have been cross endorsed by the Democratic and Republican parties, since judicial ethics prohibit them from taking an active role in party politics except during the year in which they run.  For City Judicial races, the parties have been mostly successful in removing partisan politics out of the local bench and all had endorsed Democrat Judge Tom Daly for re-election this year.  Unfortunately, there are those who are behind an overt politicization of this 50-year tradition, in a possible violation of judicial ethics. Although Tom is a lifelong Democrat he will only appear on the Republican and Conservative lines. Please join us in voting for him there (you can still vote for one or two of your favorite candidates too) - we would be grateful.  Yonkers Voters are intelligent enough to vote for the most qualified Judge - someone who will be Chief Justice next year, if re-elected.
