Washington Heights, NY-- Tommorrow, September 15th, Council Member Ydanis Rodriguez, NYC Parks Commissioner Mitchell J. Silver, Community Board 12 Chairman Eleazar Bueno, and community residents will be unveiling a brand new soccer field at Highbridge Park. The once vacant space has now been transformed into a new synthetic turf soccer field, with new paved pathways, seating, a drinking fountain, and tree plantings. Council Member Ydanis Rodriguez will be discussing the importance of revitalizing local community parks in underserved communities. Council Member Ydanis Rodriguez working alongside Mayor de Blasio has been able to secure well over 30 million dollars for Highbridge Park.
