We don’t know why our “Pete Harckham – Democrat for NY Senate” lawn signs keep disappearing or getting trashed on the side of the road.
But it is happening a lot.
One supporter even reported that a sign actually in place on her lawn was pulled up and thrown into a ditch by the side of the road. That’s right: someone trespassed and vandalized a sign on her property.
A recent letter to the editor in The Record-Review tells the same story, and the writer notes, “This sort of intolerant behavior reflects exactly why it is important that we vote to protect our democracy.”
We will keep putting up our lawn signs as expressions of this campaign’s determination and strong, widespread support—all of which are obviously troubling backers of our opponent Rob Astorino.
Maybe they realize Astorino’s fearmongering and divisive politics, modeled after those of his friend Donald Trump, are not finding traction. Today, residents want smart leadership and real action to strengthen our communities.
So, stop by our campaign headquarters and pick up some lawn signs. We are going to keep putting them up!
Sincerely,
Pete Harckham
