I’m at home. This video was just sent to me by a friend of the labor movement. Our odyssey hasn’t stopped. The labor movement, now in droves, is taking over where I left off, going after the shifty and shady developers and open shop contractors where they have been constantly exploiting workers, paying well below the area standard wages, neglecting our labor group rates, safety laws, local environmental laws while our politicians keep turning a blind eye 👁 for the sole greed and pursuit of the almighty dollar at the expense of the tax payers and the rank and file.

The construction industry in NYC is not getting any better. It’s time we need to pass legislation in New York State that if any IDA money 💰 or tax incentives are used, tax payers dollars, these projects must go to union contractors, period. Not only it gives our residents jobs in the City of New York, the City of Yonkers or the municipalities where these projects are being built throughout New York State, but it will lift our union brothers and sisters off the bench and back into the field.

And to all those who are not members of the building trades, who do not have labor representation, it will give them a chance to join a union where everyone can be on an even playing field so we can all take part in the American Dream.
