WESTCHESTER COUNTY STATEMENT ABOUT POOL EXPOSURES.
(White Plains, NY) – The Westchester County Department of Health is working with the Mount Pleasant Pool in Valhalla to identify those staff and patrons who were in close proximity to a person at the pool who tested positive for Covid-19, and to assure they quarantine and are tested. The Health Department was notified about the exposure by the pool. The individual with Covid-19 is isolating at home and had not been at the pool since Sunday. The pool is currently closed.
The Health Department is working with the Hommocks Pool in Mamaroneck to identify staff and pool goers who were in close proximity to a person at the pool who tested positive for Covid-19, and to assure they quarantine and are tested. As part of its response, the Health Department inspects the pools, reviews records, interviews those who tested positive to identify others exposed and contacts them to alert them to their exposure and their need to quarantine and be tested.
