I write this statement in response to Karen Best’s Libelous Attack on my Personal Character and Integrity that was publicly posted on May 21st by Hezi Aris on the Yonkers Tribune and by Brian Harrod on his Yonkers Newswire Facebook page without them checking the facts first. Her letter was written and posted 3 days after I had already talked to the Yonkers Police Officer who called me. Very interesting. I will not allow this "Candidate" to attempt to destroy my good name.
FACT: Karen Best wrote that she contacted the Yonkers Police Department with her baseless smear campaign against me. When an officer reached out to me from a City of Yonkers phone number, he said that there had been a complaint made by Karen Best about an “incident.” I asked if I needed my Lawyer to call him. He said I did not need an Attorney and he said he would “put in a report and the case is closed.” Interesting.
FACT: To learn the exact nature of her alleged accusation, I filed a Freedom of Information request with the Yonkers Police Department. The letter I received back from the Records Access Officer stated “a search was performed and no written police report was located.” Interesting.
FACT: There was no “incident” between Karen Best and me. This attempt to harass me was made after I wrote that one of my sources saw Karen Best around Yonkers with Tasha Diaz, who I called the puppet of Zehy Jereis. I did not say that Karen Best was his puppet. But now we all know that Council President Mike Khader and his puppet master Zehy Jereis openly supported the Rogue Yonkers “Democratic” ticket for Yonkers City Court Judge which included Karen Best, and not the Endorsed Democratic ticket. Remember that Council President Khader was a long time Independence Party Member and is not A "True" Democrat and also Zehy Jereis is the Former Yonkers GOP Leader, Hardly A "True"
Democrat.
I have been a Journalist for over 16 years and I have been involved in Politics for over 25 years, and not just in Democratic Party Politics as I have been involved in many parties and have remained Non-Partisan. I have endorsed Democrats and Republicans; candidates who I believe will work in the best interest for the people of our
City and County.
As a Journalist who reports on candidates and elections, I DO call ALL candidates constantly to ask if they will do interviews. It is part of my job. If they say no, I stop calling. If they stop responding to my many requests, I stop wasting my time. At No Time did Karen Best indicate that She didn't want to be interviewed by me. That is

I will not stand for being demeaned or diminished by anyone, especially Karen Best, who decided to come to Yonkers from New York City to run for Judge because she did not meet the qualifications to run for Judge in NYC which requires you to be a lawyer for 10 years.
Karen Best’s accusations against me are False. The fact that there was no official police report found about the alleged complaint makes me wonder who the officer was that called me and also why procedure was apparently not followed. It is my opinion that Karen Best abused the authority and power of the Yonkers Police Department with her “connections.” If she did not have any problem making a libelous and false accusation against me, and in my opinion, referring to me as someone with Various Disabilities, does not speak well of her in my view, BTW: I do not have Various Disabilities, To set the Record Straight and Clear. I ask what will she do if given the opportunity to sit on the bench as a Judge?
