Statement from Yonkers City Council, Majority Leader, Michael Sabatino, 3rd District.

Dear Friends,                           

Here is hoping all had a fun and memorable Independence Day. This upcoming week, Yonkers will see the start of many of our wonderful Yonkers youth and community summer programs. If you know a Yonkers student who has a lot of free time this summer, try to get them involved in a city-sponsored program or activity this summer. Studies show that the amount of reading and overall academic performance of the average student (K-12) drastically decreases over summer vacation if not actively up kept. 

 

Please take some time to see what Yonkers has to offer all of its residents. 

 

*As the weather warms up, remember to stay hydrated at all times and stay cool if you will be spending time outside.*
