May 17, 2019
Dear Friends,
Over this past week, many of us have seen our family members, friends, classmates, neighbors, and others walk the graduation stage in celebration of their amazing academic achievements. Graduations, from kindergarten to medical school, are accomplishments that show a lot of hard work was done to get to the finish line. So to everyone graduating this spring and summer, congratulations and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
Best Wishes,
Majority Leader Michael Sabatino

SCIENCE BARGE OPENING!
This week, I had the absolute pleasure of attending the ribbon cutting and reopening of Yonkers's Science Barge. The Science Barge returned back to Yonkers, in early April, after undergoing maintenance, repairs and upgrades of the Greenhouse heating system, this winter, thanks to a generous grant from NY State Department of Environmental Conservation.
The Science Barge Opening will attract over 300 attendees and offer a variety of different free activities such as crab and eel catching, hands on science experiments, live music from The Greenheart, and a number of different local food trucks. We are very fortunate to have such a fantastic learning resource for all in Yonkers, and I am excited to see the kinds of events that will take place there this summer!

Yonkers Arts Is Bringing Creativity to Yonkers.
Honored and humbled to have been participated in the
Yonkers Arts: Arts & Culture Round Table discussion this past
Sunday, May 11th.
There is a strong and thriving arts community in Yonkers. With more spaces in Yonkers being converted and used as creative zones and art studios, the next 'Mona Lisa' or 'The Scream' could very well come out of Yonkers due to the
booming arts community.
