Yonkers Insider: PRESS RELEASE: MEDICARE ADVISORS OFFICE NOW OPEN TO SERVE LOCAL YONKERS COMMUNITY'S MEDICARE RECIPIENTS.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MEDICARE ADVISORS OFFICE NOW OPEN TO SERVE LOCAL YONKERS COMMUNITY'S MEDICARE RECIPIENTS.

Official Grand Opening Event Scheduled for Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 3 P.M.

9th WONDER MEDICARE ADVISORS

450 S BROADWAY

YONKERS, NY 10705

In cooperation with Mayor’s Office of Yonkers, the official Grand Opening ribbon-cutting ceremony for the 9th Wonder Medicare Advisors storefront at 450 South Broadway will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 3pm.

The official Grand Opening will help create community awareness of the options available to the Medicare Recipients in the community.  The majority of Medicare-eligible in our community qualify for additional help with their Medicare or prescription drug benefits, but few are aware of the help that is available, and need assistance to navigate through the system to apply for all of the benefits that are available to them.  9th Wonder Medicare Advisors provides this assistance to Medicare recipients at no cost and assists through every step of the process.  This community service is especially relevant at this time of the year, as the Annual Enrollment Period for Medicare recipients to make their 2022 decisions ends on December 7th.

"We are a family business.  My wife grew up in this community, and we are raising our son here.  We are proud to be able to provide the service that we do, and we treat the seniors that visit us like family", said 9th Wonder Medicare Advisors co-founder Julio Alvarez.

ABOUT 9TH WONDER MEDICARE ADVISORS:

9th Wonder Medicare Advisors is committed to providing knowledgeable, caring service to our clients.  It is our mission to serve the community.  We love helping seniors find the right solution for their Medicare needs and final expenses, and have saved clients hundreds of dollars a month by finding programs that they qualified for but didn't know about.

Please join us at the Grand Opening on Tuesday, November 30th at 3pm.

Westchester Insider: Choice Matters: Alert! Two Important Days 11/30 & 12/1!

December 1st is a huge day in a historically horrific year. (Ironically just one day after #GivingTuesday

The US Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, the most consequential abortion rights case in nearly 50 years. The future of abortion rights and access hangs in the balance.

Since January, there have been 561 abortion restrictions, including 165 abortion bans, introduced across 47 states (all courts current as of June 7, 2021.) A whopping 83 of those restrictions have been enacted across 16 states, including 10 bans.

We at Choice Matters are asking you for your financial support because it is "sink or swim" for women's reproductive rights. Please consider matching or increasing your previous support. Never before have we been at this point where we stand to lose everything that we fought so hard for. When Roe v. Wade is overturned, and it will be, it will be too late. That is exactly why your help is critical.

You can rest assured that Choice Matters is not backing down from the fight to protect everything we've fought for. In fact, we are rising up.

This is why we need your help! Support abortion access by making a donation in recognization of #GivingTuesday!

New York City Insider: Media Statement: Labor Unions Support The Municipal Voting Rights Bill.

Labor Unions Support The Municipal Voting Rights Bill.

“The Municipal Voting Rights Bill will restore the rights of immigrants to participate in local elections. Undoubtedly, New York City will be come a model for which other cities may follow in the fight to enfranchise immigrants who hold a green card or work authorization.

I am proud to know that the #OurCityOurVote campaign is supported by a wide range of institutions, organizations, and labor unions. I thank the Hotel Trades Council, 1199SEIU, United Here Local 100, Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union, and the New York State Nurses Association for their support.

Together we will make history and allow immigrants New Yorkers a chance to choose who represents them at the local level.”
