News 12 Story: Deputy Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins announces bid for Westchester County Executive, after County Executive George Latimer wins Congressional Seat.
Jenkins Previously was A Westchester County Legislator in the 16th District Representing Yonkers and Former Head of Yonkers Democratic City Committee, Former Also Head of the Black Democrats of Westchester and Also Former Head of Yonkers NAACP and very involved in the Yonkers Community for many years.
He also Previuosly ran for Westchester County Executive in 2013 and 2017. He lost the Democratic Party Primary for Westchester County Executive in 2017 to County Executive Latimer.

Process: The County Legislature will name an interim county executive, likely Jenkins, and schedule a special election within 90 days. During that time, each political party will get to name their own nominees to fill out the remainder of Latimer's term.
