Dear Neighbors, I'm so excited to share with you that the City of Yonkers is being recognized at the National Dominican Day Parade in New York City this weekend. Two of the parade honorees, Wilson Terrero and Winston Brewster are from Yonkers and are being recognized for their service to the Dominican community and efforts to preserve their heritage. Congratulations! The Yonkers Dominican Festival will be returning on Saturday, August 24 along Main Street, hope to see you there to celebrate this vibrant community. We are once again anticipating heavy wind and rain. Thank you to our Yonkers Department of Public Works, Fire Department, and Police Department for working together to keep our residents safe.
