Please Click Video Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFmLTeiSj6w New York - July 17…The nonpartisan Coalition to Protect Kids - NY released a video today called “Ask a Parent” warning New Yorkers that, among other things, Proposal One on the November Ballot could ban parents from knowing if an underage child is gender transitioning in school. The video was released the day after California announced a new law banning parents in that state from being informed about their children gender transitioning. The full script for “Ask a Parent” is included below.   Proposal One, misnamed the “Equal Rights Amendment” by proponents — opponents are calling it the “Parent Replacement Act” — would go much further than the new Golden State law, The Coalition notes. Prop One would create a Constitutional amendment blindly banning discrimination based on ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, and sex, including sexual orientation, gender identity and pregnancy. If passed by voters on November 5th, the carelessly written ballot proposal could, among other things: 1. Give biological males a constitutional right to compete on girls and women’s sports teams; 2. give illegal migrants a constitutional right to government benefits and potentially a right to vote in New York elections, and 3. threaten sensible state age restriction laws such as underage smoking statutes or senior housing age requirements, the group charges.   “California should be a wakeup call for every New York parent,” said Coalition to Protect Kids-NY spokeswoman Ayesha Kreutz. “As our newest video highlights, parental permission is needed for virtually everything in New York schools, but those same parents could be banned from knowing that a child may be making the biggest decision in his or her life? It’s literal madness. As European nations and many U.S. States are banning adolescent transgender procedures based on science, including irreversible surgeries, New York is putting children at risk of seriously harming themselves. This amendment must be defeated.”   “Our strictly nonpartisan coalition is fully supportive of the LGBTQ+ community,” Kreutz continued. “That includes protecting young people from making permanent, and potentially tragic, life decisions without the input of their guardians.”   “Ask a Parent”   The average parent signs around 100 school permission slips.
