MAYOR MIKE SPANO & CITY OF YONKERS TO HONOR FLAG DAY AT YONKERS CITY HALL.

 

Newly Naturalized Citizens to Lead the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

The City of Yonkers will celebrate Flag Day on Friday, June 14 at 11 AM to honor the United States of America’s red, white, and blue flag at Yonkers City Hall.

 

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano, the Yonkers Office of Veterans Services, and local Yonkers Veterans will join members of the community for the celebration of Old Glory. 

 

Newly naturalized citizens from the VIVE School/Yonkers Pathways to Success will lead the Pledge of Allegiance. It will be the first time they will be reciting the Pledge publicly as citizens of the United States. There will also be a chronological presentation of United States flags throughout history.
