National Gun Violence Awareness Day.Working together for change. |
Gun violence has taken a devastating toll on families, schools, communities and beyond. As DA, tackling gun violence is a top priority for me. No one policy can eradicate this crisis, but there are common-sense steps we can take together to reduce gun violence and make our county safer. Things like cracking down on gun traffickers, expanding investigations and prosecutions of untraceable "ghost guns", and enforcing Red Flag laws to take guns away from domestic abusers are a few policies I'll implement immediately. My strong relationship with local law enforcement will allow for close collaboration, data sharing on patterns of gun violence, and more. Preventative programs like youth intervention will keep guns out of the hands of our kids, especially as things like Raise the Age are inadvertently causing younger and younger children to pick up firearms. We need to treat gun violence like the public health emergency it is. Let this National Gun Violence Awareness Day serve as a call-to-action. On June 25th, I humbly ask for your vote, so we can build a safer Westchester together. Paid for by Cacace For DA. #cacace4da |
