Since 1984, WESTCHESTER DISABLED ON THE MOVE (WDOM) has been a premier advocate for the rights of People with Disabilities. We are different from most organizations because we provide services for all disabilities, not just one or a few. Our board and staff are primarily People with Disabilities, sharing the same experiences as those we assist. Our many programs include access to affordable health insurance, transitioning from a nursing home to your own home, preventing going into a nursing home, and information on accessible and affordable homes. We speak up for those with difficulty speaking for themselves and teach self-advocacy. Our mission is to improve the quality of life and the rights of all people with disabilities.
