Yonkers Insider: Statement from Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano.

 


Dear Neighbors,


This week we unveiled a new public art installation, the first one in our Yonkers Parks. It was created by 8 artists during Yonkers Arts Weekend. Stop by and check it out - it has an aquatic theme, a reminder of our roots along the banks of the Hudson River.


We also celebrated our students, staff, and faculty at Yonkers Middle High School with the Mayor's School Spotlight. The school earned an impressive ranking in U.S. News and World Report and they continue to make us all Yonkers proud!


This weekend we celebrate our moms and the women in our lives who have inspired us, influenced us, and nurtured us. For those of you who can be with your mothers, cherish and enjoy these moments. I know my mom is watching us all from above, a true guardian angel.
