Prevention is better than cure.

Everyone knows the line "an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure". That adage also applies to crimes. Prevention is a key component of the 3Ps that are critical to the success of the DA's office - Prosecute, Protect, Prevent. I recently spent time with the incredible folks at the Yonkers PAL - a safe haven for youths where they can rid themselves of the burden of things like drugs, gang violence, guns, theft, and other crimes. By offering constructive outlets like sports, paint nights, dance classes and even family dinners for extended families, they are doing the heroic work of keeping kids safe.
