It was my distinct pleasure to present County Legislator David Imamura with a citation on behalf of the New York State Assembly at our 2024 Asian Pacific American Day celebration. A lifelong Irvington resident, David is the first Asian American to serve on the Westchester County Board of Legislators. David is an experienced election and voting rights attorney who, prior to elective office worked to draft and pass the Westchester Immigrant Protection Act and Westchester Discriminatory Harassment Law. In past years, he has also served as Chair of the New York State Independent Redistricting Commission, Co-Chair of the Westchester County Asian American Advisory Board, and member of the Westchester County Human Rights Commission. I hope you will join me in thanking David for his efforts and congratulating him for this most deserved recognition!
