Yonkers Insider: Yonkers City Hall Beat: Yonkers City Council Budget Committee Meeting.

 

Please be advised that a Budget & Finance Committee Meeting has been scheduled ‎for Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 5:30 pm. This meeting will occur at Yonkers City Hall, 40 South Broadway, 4th Fl., Council Chambers.

 

Agenda:

1. Settlement by Law Department – $125,000.00 - BARRERA-HERNANDEZ v. City of Yonkers –for personal injuries arising out of a fight between students at Yonkers Middle School on October 20, 2019. (Fiscal Impact – amount of settlement.) (All Councilmembers.)

 

2. Resolution – supporting Senate Bill S63 and Assembly Bill A6979 that calls for a study and report on the placement of Westchester County in the Hudson Valley Region for purposes of public school foundation aid (No Fiscal Impact.) (All Councilmembers.)

 

3. Special Ordinance – amending the budget for the City of Yonkers for the 2023/2024 fiscal year in relation to transferring funds to and from various accounts for the purpose of: 1) health insurance, 2) fire 207a supplemental pension, 3) finance AAB professional fees, and 4) museum special projects. (Neutral Fiscal Impact.) (All Councilmembers.)

 

4. Any additional items that may properly come before this Committee.
