YONKERS PIC: The Scholastic Academy for Academic Excellence was renamed to the #EllaFitzgeraldAcademy, a school where the Queen of Jazz attended at 77 Park Hill Avenue.

#EllaFitzgerald was an inspiration to many and 90 years ago, she walked the halls at Yonkers P.S. 18, as the school was known back then.

Now Ella Fitzgerald will remain a role model for Yonkers Public Schools children with the renaming of this school....
