Dear Friends,
We are finally seeing the sun today as we head into the weekend. Today, we celebrated Cinco de Mayo in our City's first-ever festival. There was music, dancing, and special guests. We hope to make it an annual event.
It was held at Daylighting III, a beautiful park in our downtown area, located on the corner of Nepperhan Avenue and New Main Street. The waterwheel is in full operation and there is public art and sculptures displayed around it.
In just a few weeks, we will be celebrating Yonkers Arts Weekend on May 20, scroll down to see the schedule. There is so much to do and see in Yonkers!
Until then, wishing all of you a safe and wonderful weekend.
MIKE SPANO
Mayor
