YONKERS MAYOR SPANO AND YONKERS MEXICAN-AMERICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO CELEBRATE THE CITY OF YONKERS’ FIRST CINCO DE MAYO FESTIVAL.
Mayor Mike Spano will join representatives from the Yonkers Mexican-American Chamber of Commerce to celebrate Cinco de Mayo on Friday, May 5, at 4 PM at Yonkers Daylighting III (149 New Main Street). It will be the City on Yonkers’ first Cinco de Mayo Festival, in commemoration of Mexico’s victory over the Second French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. The festival will feature live music and folkloric dancing. DJ Sonido Galaxy will close out the celebration.
