Dear Friends,
Earth month was the perfect time to inaugurate a new park in our City. By repurposing underutilized land, we opened a beautifully landscaped park along Warburton Avenue with direct access to the Old Croton Aqueduct. We named the park after Martin Ginsburg, a long-time friend of the City of Yonkers. His company generously contributed toward the cost of the park. What better way to reimagine Yonkers.
And in celebration of Earth Day, I invite you to join us tomorrow, Saturday, April 22 at 9:30AM for our annual Yonkers Old Croton Aqueduct Clean-Up -- an opportunity to beautify the Yonkers section of this historic 26-mile trail. See below for more details.
Wishing all of you a safe and wonderful weekend.
MIKE SPANO
Mayor
