Yonkers Insider: 2023 Campaign Trail: Statement from Ruth Walter Democrat for Westchester County Legislator 15th District.

 

This is an extremely technical —and essential—stage of running for office.

After weeks of hard work, we submitted over 1,100 signatures to the Board of elections, double the requirement for the Democratic line on November’s ballot.

I thank my over 40 volunteers plus dozens of district leaders who went door-to-door collecting, including two brand-new eligible voters, Sophie and Cian, as well as experienced petitioners such as Bill, Philomena and Josen.

A huge thank you to each voter who signed a petition for me and other endorsed candidates!

To my Yonkers Democratic Chair, Tom Meier and Bronxville Democratic Chair, Niamh Hartnett Merluccio, thank you for rallying the troops! Every election needs signatures, and I am grateful to have so much support!
