LEGISLATOR TUBIOLO ANNOUNCES FUNDING FOR
AISLING IRISH CENTER.
WHITE PLAINS, New York --- Westchester County Legislator David Tubiolo, District 14 (Yonkers and Mount Vernon), is delighted to announce that the Aisling Irish Community Center on McLean Avenue has received Community Based Organization funding in the amount of $26,750.00 from Westchester County.
The Aisling Irish Community Center is a centripetal force in promoting and preserving Irish Culture in Yonkers. The Center offers classes in the Gaelic language and traditional Irish dancing. Additionally, they offer movie nights and lunches for seniors, sponsoring 5K charity runs and holiday toy drives. Legislator Tubiolo is proud to continue to support Aisling’s community programs, adding, “I’m delighted to have been able to procure this funding for such a vital organization that helps so many people in our community.” Aisling’s Executive Director Sandra Feeney-Charles added, “The Aisling Irish Community and Cultural Center is indebted to County Legislator, David Tubiolo, and the entire Westchester County Board of Legislators for its continued support of our programs reaching over 15,000 people in Westchester each year.”
Aisling is a staple of the City of Yonkers’ Emerald Mile, offering many social services in mental health, employment, and housing.
