On Friday, I was proud to join the team at the Hudson River Museum to announce new grant funding I was able to obtain from the State of New York. First opened in 1919, the Hudson River Museum has played an integral role in documenting the history of our region. The Museum is the largest in Westchester, and welcomes guests from across the United States and around the world for its collection of Hudson River School paintings. I particularly enjoyed works from local Arab-American artist RIDIKKULUZ who is featured in the museum’s Order/Reorder exhibition alongside Ansel Adams and Henri Matisse.
Thanks to this funding, the museum will be able to bolster its programming for K-12 students for generations to come, as generations of children already have. I thank Masha Turchinsky and the rest of the team for their incredible work in advancing this vital institution and look forward to visiting the Museum’s newly constructed wing later this year.
