YONKERS MAYOR SPANO & YONKERS POLICE DEPARTMENT TO UNVEIL INITIATIVE TO COMBAT INCREASE IN SHOPLIFTING AT LOCAL RETAIL STORES.

 

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano will join Yonkers Police Commissioner Christopher Sapienza Thursday, March 2 at 11:30AM at 2490 Central Park Avenue (Gateway Center - rear parking lot) to announce the deployment of the Yonkers Police Department’s latest initiative to combat a recent increase in petty larceny among big box retail stores. The City of Yonkers has seen a 10% increase in property crimes year over year and an increase in recidivist offenders.
