The company decommissioning the Indian Point Nuclear Power Station in Buchanan is planning to discharge over one million of gallons of radioactive wastewater into the Hudson River this summer. As a member of the Assembly representing not just Yonkers but the entire state of New York, Assemblyman Sayegh is co-sponsoring legislation to outlaw this practice statewide. The legislation was introduced by Assemblymember Dana Levenberg who represents the communities around Indian Point and sponsored in the Senate by Senator Pete Harckham.
