If you notice any suspicious substances, like glue or sticky residue, inside the entry slots of your neighborhood outdoor mailboxes, do not place your mail inside.
Recently, several constituents have reported that three mailboxes in Colonial Heights contained suspicious substances that could be linked to phishing scams used to steal your mail. The mailboxes are located at:
- Verona Ave and Grand View Blvd
- Underhill St and Grandview Blvd
- Alpine Rd and Alta Vista Dr
If you find a mailbox with a sticky substance or anything out of the ordinary, please report it to the Postal Police at 212-330-2400.
