Yonkers Insider: New York State Assemblyman Nader Sayegh 90th District: Celebrating Black History Month.

 


February is Black History Month. First observed by the Black Union of Students at Kent State University in 1970, this month encourages us to celebrate the innumerable contributions made by African Americans throughout our nation's history.


The City of Yonkers and New York State have benefited from rich contributions from Black Americans. This month, we should all take a greater role in acknowledging and celebrating these accomplishments.
