During the Joint Assembly Senate Hearing on State Aid to Cities, Assemblyman Sayegh posed two questions to New York City Mayor Eric Adams. First, Assemblyman Sayegh voiced his support for Assemblymember Jenifer Rajkumar's legislation to create a Diwalli Holiday in New York Schools. It is a major holiday for many New Yorkers with ties to South Asia, one of our State's fastest growing population demographics. Assemblyman Sayegh also urged Mayor Adams to look further at supporting funding for technology camera systems (crime prevention) that would help protect small businesses such as stores, restaurants and bodegas.
