FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: DEMOCRAT MARK FANG ANNOUNCES HIS CANDIDACY FOR WESTCHESTER COUNTY LEGISLATOR DISTRICT 15.

Today, Mark Fang announced that he is a candidate for County Legislator in the newly drawn District 15, which includes parts of Yonkers, Mt. Vernon, Eastchester and all of the Village of Bronxville. Fang is a Yonkers Democratic District Leader, the former head of Westchester County’s Human Rights Commission and its Consumer Protection Department. He is the present Executive Director of the City of Yonkers Commission on Human Rights. A practicing attorney, he began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney, the first Asian-American to hold that position in Westchester County, and later served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Division of the Office of the New York State Attorney General. He received a B.A., Phi Beta Kappa, from Tufts University, and a J.D., from the Georgetown University Law Center. Fang is a veteran and presently a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserve, assigned to the 353rd CACOM based in Fort Wadsworth, Staten Island.

I am ready to hit the ground running on Day 1 and deliver to the people of the district,” says candidate Mark Fang. “I am excited to spend the coming months speaking with the voters of the district and humbly ask them for their support to serve them as County Legislator.”
After many years of public service and being involved in the community, Mark Fang will seek the Democratic Nomination for Westchester County Legislator District 15.
