The Yonkers Police Youth Cadet Program is accepting applications for the upcoming cadet class until March 15, 2023, providing an opportunity for the youth of the city to develop critical thinking, leadership, and service skills. Through the Community Affairs Division program, cadets will receive age-appropriate training in emergency operations by working with different units such as Patrol, Traffic, Marine, Crime Scene Unit, Emergency Service Unit, K-9 unit, among others, to gain planning, strategy, teamwork and decision-making abilities, setting a foundation for success in future law enforcement and related careers.
