I'm deeply saddened to learn of the mass shooting which transpired overnight in Monterrey Park, CA at a Lunar New Year Festival. This heinous and senseless act taking place at such a unifying holiday event for our AAPI communities is uniquely heartbreaking. We must do all we can to curb the scourge of gun violence that has become all too common in daily American life. I ask that we all keep the victims of this tragedy in our thoughts.
