On Monday, January 16th, City Hall will be closed in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. federal holiday. To honor his legacy, Mayor Mike Spano has launched his annual poem/video contest, a MLK breakfast will be held at the Nepperhan Community Center on the morning of the 16th, and a Coat and Toiletry Drive will be taking place at the YWCA , also on the 16th. I encourage everyone to spend your day off of work and/or school by giving back to the community and joining in on the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Day of Service.
