Dear Friends and Neighbors,
If you believe what the stores promote, Thanksgiving is just a placeholder between Halloween and Christmas. But, we think most Americans would agree that Thanksgiving holds a special and unique place in our hearts. It’s an opportunity to pause – without the stress of buying presents and decorations – to gather, share and give thanks.
This year, buying groceries for the Thanksgiving meal and filling the gas tank to join family and friends can greatly impact our budgets. This may put the celebration out of reach for some.
So, as we give thanks for the bounty many of us will enjoy, let’s take the opportunity to donate to those whose tables will be less bountiful, so that they may give thanks, as well.
