Yonkers Insider: Statement from Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano.

 

Dear Friends, I hope all of you enjoyed Halloween! Lola, our family dog joined me in handing out candy to all the trick or treaters in my neighborhood. I ran out of candy pretty quickly. I can't believe we are in the month of November already! This week, I was so proud to be a part of the dedication of the Barack Obama School for Social Justice (formerly Palisade Preparatory School). My mother attended school there, when it was Commerce High School, and she's a wonderful writer. She always credits the school for her ability to write and I'm so happy the tradition of excellence continues. Students will continue to follow Barack Obama's footsteps and strive for excellence, achieve their goals and bring about change in the world. Enjoy your weekend!  MIKE SPANO Mayor
