First and foremost, I'd like to thank everyone who took the time to vote in the most recent General Election. I am warmed by the outpouring of support I received by voters as they voted resoundingly to send me back to our State Capitol to continue representing our community. Serving as your Assemblyman has been the privilege of my life. I am eager to get back to work in the 2023 Legislative Session to build on my record by continuing to deliver for New Yorkers and their families. Together along with my team, we will continue to work tirelessly as we seek to build a safer, stronger, fairer, and more prosperous Yonkers and New York State. Thank you!
The Holiday Season is finally upon us. While many families are making preparations for the Thanksgiving Holiday, thankfully, many others are taking action to assist those families challenged by Food Insecurity. Volunteers from scores of organizations along with local, county and state officials joined forces at Stew Leonard's Supermarket in Yonkers this week to give away turkeys donated by Stew Leonard's.
The Supermarket chain donated over 3,000 turkeys to provide for families in need during the holiday season. Volunteers from the Yonkers Police and Fire Departments loaded the free turkeys into a long line of waiting cars. Before joining with the police and fire department employees to load turkeys into cars, I spoke to the volunteers and Stew Leonard's management and employees to acknowledge their longstanding commitment to helping their community.
