60 years ago, the City of Yonkers held a grand opening for its iconic Mid-Century Modern Architecture design Grinton I. Will Library on Central Park Avenue. In the ensuing years, it has become a major community center serving generations of Yonkers residents through pandemics, floods and more.
Senator Shelley Mayer and I attended the 60th Birthday Celebration and presented a Joint State Proclamation to Yonkers Library Director Jesse Montero and Library Trustees President Nancy Maron. In the Assembly, I've been proud to help secure millions of dollars for our local libraries to that they can continue to offer the robust services and programming they do for generations to come.
