MEDIA ALERT: BARACK OBAMA SCHOOL FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE DEDICATION CEREMONY - THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2022
YONKERS: On June 14, 2022, the City of Yonkers Board of Education adopted a resolution to rename Palisade Preparatory School, the Barack Obama School for Social Justice to honor the significant and far-reaching contributions of the 44th President of the United States Barack Obama.
The #Yonkers Board of Education has a long history naming and renaming schools after individuals who are outstanding role models to inspire our students.
President President Obama’s life experiences and work as a champion for social justice and human rights for every individual will inspire the students and staff at this school for generations to come.
