As we grow and attract new development in Yonkers, we want to also ensure affordable, quality housing for all.
This week, we broke ground on our newest addition to Yonkers’ growing affordable housing stock, the La Mora Senior Apartments.
The $44 million development will total 57 one-bedroom units and three two-bedroom units in a four-story building. All units will be reserved for residents aged 62 and older and households making at or below 60 percent of the area median income.
Located on Mulberry Street, these quality apartments will soon be home to many, filled with promise and hope for our resident seniors. We are building a stronger, more sustainable community, thanks to the support of our federal, state, private and local partners.
