Yonkers Insider: Yonkers City Council Majority Whip John Rubbo 4th District: CONTROVERSIAL SMOKE SHOP SHUT DOWN.

 

A smoke shop attempted to open on the corner of McLean Avenue and Woodlawn Avenue without permits from New York State and the City of Yonkers.  This location is less than 100 feet from an elementary school and church.

Thanks to the Yonkers Police Department, Yonkers Fire Department and the Department of Buildings the Smoke Shop was SHUT DOWN!

Regardless of where this is attempted across our city, we must take a strong stand against breaking the law and protect our city's quality of life.

I want to thank Mayor Spano for his assistance in keeping communities across our city safe and Father Fitzgerald for bringing this to my attention and for being a fantastic leader for our community.
