Cross County Commissions Yonkers Arts to Activate an Interactive Art Installation titled ‘Artful Greens’.

(Yonkers, AUGUST 2022) Yonkers Arts is collaborating with local artists to bring an exciting outdoor art installation to Cross County Center. The project titled, ‘Artful Greens,’ will include unique artworks from a variety of local artists and will be viewable to Cross County Center’s visitors from August 26, 2022 through September. 

The idea behind the site-specific installation was co-curated by Liz Pollack of Marx Realty/Cross County, Tayla Edmond, and Ray Wilcox both of Yonkers Arts. The outdoor exhibition will showcase interactive and experiential art installations utilizing the trees within the interior of the property. Approximately, 20 trees will be utilized in the designs from 6 artists. The artists to be included in the installation were selected from designs submitted in response to a call for art issued by Yonkers Arts.
