MAYOR MIKE SPANO TO PRESENT OVER 800 BACKPACKS, SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND CLASSROOM SUPPLIES TO ENRICO FERMI 11th ANNUAL “BACKPACK TO SCHOOL” DRIVE.

 

Since 2012, Over 3,000 Backpacks and Over 6,000 Supplies Donated by the Yonkers Community.

 

 

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano will be joined by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Edwin Quezada and Enrico Fermi Principal Mark Ametrano for the 11^th Annual “Backpack to School Drive” Tuesday, August 30^th at 12:00 PM at Enrico Fermi (Auditorium) located at 27 Poplar Street, Yonkers, NY 10701, to present 870 backpacks, school supplies and classroom supplies received through the “Backpack to School Drive” to the students of the Enrico Fermi.

 

Backpacks and school supplies were donated by City of Yonkers employees, residents, corporate and nonprofit sponsors including Heavenly Productions Foundation, Empire City Casino by MGM Resorts, PCNY, Garden of Eden, Castle Royale, Fuelco, Rock & Rod’s Collector Car Club, Ridge Hill and Elite Investigations.

 

Since 2012, over 3,000 backpacks and over 6,000 supplies have been donated by the Yonkers Community.
