Yesterday evening, June 14, 2022, the Yonkers City Council held a Budget Committee meeting and a Rules Committee Meeting. All items on both agendas appear below, as well as the decisions taken by the City Council in regard to these items.

Budget Committee Meeting 1.Resolution – approving an agreement between the City of Yonkers and Local 456, International Brotherhood of Teamsters. (Negative Fiscal Impact.) (All Councilmembers.) (Moved to City Council meeting agenda of June 14, 2022) City Council Stated Agenda 1. General Ordinance amending Chapter 50 of the Code of the COY entitled “Green Buildings” in relation to application of green building standards (Adopted 7-0) 2. General Ordinance amending Chapter 50 of the Code of the COY entitled “Green Buildings” in relation to electric vehicle charging stations (Adopted 7-0) 3. General Ordinance amending Chapter 91 of the Code of the COY also known as “Garbage and Refuge” in regard to garbage receptacles (Adopted 7-0) 4. Special Ordinance authorizing and permitting a long house connection –9 Fenway South, Block 6216, Lot 15 (Adopted 7-0) 5. Special Ordinance authorizing acceptance of federal home program American Rescue Plan grant funding from the United States Department in the amount of $4,687,217 and amending the COY grant budget for FY 2021/2022 (Adopted 7-0) 6. Resolution approving an agreement entered into by the NYS Attorney General on behalf of entities including the COY related to the distribution of opioids (Adopted 7-0) 7. Resolution approving an agreement between the COY and CBS Blue Bloods (Adopted 7-0) 8. Resolution - advice and consent of Sam Borrelli as Commissioner of Housing and Buildings (Adopted 7-0) 9. Resolution - advice and consent to the reappointment of Thomas Meier, Jr to the Parks, Recreation and Conservation Board (Adopted 7-0) 10. Resolution – advice and consent to the reappointment of John Larkin to the Planning Board (Adopted 7-0) 11. Resolution – advice and consent to the reappointment of Charlie Hensley as Chairman to the Landmarks Board (Adopted 7-0) 12. Resolution appointing Robert Williams, Jeannette Garcia-Alonzo, Patrick K. Murphy and Charles A. Ruemmeley to the Human Rights Commission (Adopted 7-0) 13. Resolution declaring the month of June 2022 “Juneteenth Month” (Adopted 7-0) 14. Resolution declaring the month of June 2022 “LGBTQ+ Pride Month (Adopted 7-0) 15. Resolution – Commissioner of Deeds  (Adopted 7-0)                                  (Add-on) 16. (All Councilmembers.) (Adopted 7-0)         As a friendly reminder, although the City Council has resumed its in-person Stated meetings, some Committee meetings, including Rules, will be held virtually for the time being, unless otherwise noted.
