Viva Portugal! This weekend, I joined members of Yonkers' large Portuguese Community in commemorating Portugal Day at Yonkers City Hall!
Celebrated on or around June 10th, the holiday is centered around the death of Luís de Camões in 1580, a renowned literary author who remains a source of national pride to this day. Special thanks to the Portuguese American Community Center for organizing the festivities recognizing the contributions of this illustrious community to our City and State.
